Senior Contracts Manager

Are you a proactive Senior Contracts Manager? We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced contracts professional who can work collaboratively with our existing contracts team.

Quarto creates inspiring illustrated books for adults and children published across the globe. In this role, you will help provide a broad contract, commercial and legal function to our business.

About the role

You will have responsibility for negotiating and drafting contracts for the acquisition and licensing of rights in co-operation with the Editorial and Rights teams.

What you will be involved in:

• Drafting and negotiating contracts with authors, agents, publishers and other third parties for the acquisition of publishing rights
• Analysing US and foreign rights contracts
• Setting up processes to ensure the smooth running of our department
• Contributing to the strategic direction of our department
• Advising and assisting Editorial teams in contractual, commercial and legal matters

Who you are:

You’ll be a confident contracts professional able to offer astute commercial advice whilst negotiating effectively across a range of agreement types.
