Purpose of the job

We are looking for a CRM Manager, who will transform our CRM capabilities and take us to the next level, which will involve the build and development of our ThankQ database.

The CRM Manager will be a dynamic individual, who is solutions focused, consultative, but is also happy to get involved in the detail, as well as see the bigger picture as part of our five-year plan. The CRM Manager will enjoy consulting with staff, enabling them to see the benefits of what a database can bring, as well as being happy to understand the business or departmental requirements. You will also be our in-house expert on GDPR and data governance.

Main duties and responsibilities

You will:

  • Build, develop and embed our ThankQ database into Thames21
  • Create CRM solutions to expand our digital engagement tools
  • Deliver training sessions on ThankQ enabling staff to use and see its benefits
  • Carry out an initial audit, de-duping and clean of data
  • Trouble shoot any CRM issues
  • Develop a CRM strategy to align us with our five-year plan
  • Be our expert on compliance around GDPR and data governance
  • Be the account manager and contact point for Access

Person Specification
It is essential that in your application you give evidence or examples of your proven experience in each of the following criteria including the competencies.

 Essential

  • Be an experienced manager of CRM databases in the not-for-profit sector
  • Be a strategic thinker, but also love detail
  • Be an expert around the management of data governance such as GDPR
  • Take responsibility and accountability for your own work
  • Have exceptional organisation and time management skills
  • Have an ability to juggle conflicting priorities and multiple projects at the same time
  • Love a challenge and variety every day

Desirable

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject
  • Experience of delivering
  • A basic understanding of fundraising
  • Experience of managing a volunteer database
