We are working towards a day when every community, whatever the socio-economic background of its residents, can thrive without being fearful of crime. We are looking for high-performing, committed, mission-aligned individuals who will actively contribute towards this goal.

It is important that Police Now’s workforce reflects the communities that we serve and are empowered to contribute their best. We are an equal opportunities employer committed to diversity and inclusion in policing and our Head Office, and view workforce diversity as a business imperative. We strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Police Now trains graduates and career changers with leadership potential to become inspirational police officers and outstanding crime fighters on our National Graduate Leadership Programme and our National Detective Programme. Our officers are supported for life so they can confidently progress through policing ranks as innovative leaders. We are a not-for-profit organisation of ~120 employees, with ambitious goals; we need impact and solutions-focused individuals who will accelerate us towards our mission. Everything we do and our culture reflects the Police Now Leadership Principles which are attached at the bottom of this page.

What you’ll do

As a Selection Coordinator you provide comprehensive administrative, candidate and project support to aid the day-to-day delivery of the Police Now Recruitment team. We’re responsible for recruiting and supporting a large pipeline of talented and diverse individuals onto our two flagship programmes so it’s a fast-paced and varied role that involves working closely with candidates as well as our team!

You will be dedicated to delivering an excellent candidate experience throughout our selection process, as well as being the main point of contact for candidate queries. You’ll also be one of the core team members responsible for welcoming candidates to our assessment centres and facilitating the session to ensure it runs smoothly.  You will also be involved in a range of projects throughout the recruitment yearly cycle all focused on supporting candidates and delivering a high level of candidate experience.

Who we’re looking for

We need someone who is highly organised and has an ability to manage a varied workload.  Having both a good attention to detail and the ability to communicate with stakeholders is imperative. You must possess a genuine commitment to policing, public service and the Police Now mission, values and aims, as well as a passion and knowledge of the graduate recruitment sector and Police Now’s place within it.

We pride ourselves on our innovation and agility so you will embrace change, be keen to take on new projects and be excited about doing things differently. We are ambitious so you won’t be afraid of a challenge and will be able to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities! You’ll also enjoy working closely with others in your team whilst working under your own initiative to manage your individual workload. Finally, you will have diversity and inclusion in the heart of all you do, contributing to the ideas and delivery of our strategy to hire outstanding and diverse individuals who will have the highest impact in our communities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and ambitious individual to get stuck in, carve your own path and really make a difference to one of the most innovative graduate recruiters in the UK.
