About the role
Visiting Angels South East London is looking for caring, reliable and experienced Live-in Care Assistants to support people in their own homes.
You will live in the client’s home during the care placement and provide day-to-day support to help them remain safe, comfortable and independent.
Key responsibilities
- Providing personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting
- Supporting mobility and transfers
- Preparing meals and drinks
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting with medication where trained
- Carrying out light household tasks
- Supporting people with conditions such as dementia, stroke recovery and other long-term conditions
- Encouraging independence, choice and dignity
- Following care plans and safeguarding procedures
- Reporting any concerns to the office team
About you
You should be:
- Kind, patient and genuinely caring
- Reliable and professional
- Comfortable working independently
- Respectful of people’s homes, routines and choices
- A clear communicator
- Flexible and committed to providing high-quality care
Previous care experience is preferred but not essential, particularly live-in care. Experience supporting people with dementia, mobility needs or complex conditions would be an advantage.
