Job Summary
To work supervised under qualified staff and to provide support in the delivery of
quality care for patients. To provide a full range of support functions in a
ward/department/ theatre or critical environment. This will include undertaking
personal care duties for patients, clerical duties and reporting patient conditions
to qualified staff. Ensuring the safety and well being of services users, and
always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the
adoption of person centred care principles.
Key Relationships
Internally, all the hospital personnel involved in the patient’s care. As well as
external relatives, carers and visitors to the ward/department.
