About the role
Visiting Angels South East London is growing its team and looking for kind, dependable Care Assistants/Caregivers to support people in their own homes.
The role offers flexible and extended visits, allowing you to spend more time supporting clients and building positive relationships.
Minimum 1-hour visits are offered, rather than short 15-minute visits.
Key responsibilities
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting with personal care
- Helping with washing and dressing
- Supporting with continence care where required
- Preparing meals and drinks
- Supporting mobility and independence
- Carrying out light household tasks
- Following care plans
- Reporting concerns to the care team
About you
You should be:
- Kind, patient and dependable
- Comfortable supporting people with personal care
- Respectful of clients’ choices and dignity
- A good communicator
- Willing to work some evenings and weekends
- Reliable and committed to providing good-quality care
No previous care experience is required – full training is provided.
A driving licence and access to a car is useful but not essential, as local visits may be available for non-drivers.

- Travel: You will travel between clients during your working day. Visits are generally local, with travel between clients usually taking no more than around 30 minutes. Travel time and mileage are paid. You don’t necessarily need a car, as local visits may be available for candidates who use public transport, walk or cycle.
