HR Generalist role

Leathermarket JMB is a resident-managed housing organisation, working in partnership with Southwark Council managing 1,600 properties of mixed tenure south of London Bridge station. We have a vacancy for a stand-alone HR generalist to deliver the full HR service including:

  • Lead on formal and informal ER processes, supporting staff and management
  • Recruitment & selection including JD reviews and job evaluation, advertising, shortlisting onboarding new staff
  • HR policy reviews, consultation and implementation including training of staff and managers
  • Monitoring and reporting to directors on HR key performance indicators.
  • Payroll changes and checking monthly payroll
  • HR advice to managers
  • First point of contact for staff with operational queries

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have CIPD level 5 or higher, or extensive practical HR experience
  • Be able to juggle multiple HR tasks at strategic, operational and administrative level
  • Experience of working independently as the only member of the stand-alone HR team
  • Excellent verbal, written and numerical skills including IT skills
  • Interpersonal skills, ethics and cultural awareness
  • Problem solving, not problem identifying
  • Emotional intelligence and resilience
  • Self motivated: able to generate and manage own workload
  • Knowledge of People HR desirable but can be trained
