General Operative

Job Description:
Euro Cucina was founded in 2002 by the Snaidero Group who are an Italian company with 75 years craftsmanship and all-Italian passion for their designed Kitchens that are exported all over the world.  They were founded to be the sole UK division of the Snaidero Group, supplying the UK housing development market with high quality European kitchens and Wardrobes.

Euro Cucina have been a proven supply chain member of Lendlease for over 10 years working on several prestigious sites including Lendlease’s Elephant Park development.

They now have opportunities for general operatives to join their team based at Elephant Park where they are working on the next phase of build.  The successful candidate will be responsible for kitchen applying protection.  Using materials provided to protect kitchens and other internal works such as wardrobes.  Keeping the working areas clean and tidy removing any hazards and loading waste materials into the appropriate skips and bins.  Moving materials to skilled workers, unloading incoming materials, and generally supporting the Euro Cucina fitters to enable works to run efficiently and on-time.  As a member of this team, the successful applicant must be prepared for manual work, following instruction, teamwork and demonstrate good communication skills.  They must be trustworthy, reliable, flexible, have a good attitude towards others as well as their role and someone who consistently arrives to work on time each day.

Person Spec

• Have the right to work in the UK
• Must be a Southwark and unemployed
• Proof of ID such as Passport or Driving License, Proof of Address, NI Card/Number
• A valid CSCS Card
• Some previous construction site experience desired but not essential
• Willing to carry out manual labour
• Ability to work at an accurate pace
• Must have good attendance
• Must be reliable with good timekeeping
• Desire to work/learn
• Willingness to listen
• Ability to follow instruction
• Good team working skills
• Respect for others
•  ‘Can-do’ attitude
• Construction sites have zero tolerance to drugs and alcohol on site and random tests are carried out.  If tested positive, immediate removal from site with a life ban on working on a Lendlease site.
