Bounce Back would like to welcome colleagues across the criminal justice system to our Southwark Bridge Road training hub to experience our new Brighter Futures project in collaboration with City & Guilds.

The Brighter Future Project supports people with experience of the criminal justice system to complete three digital badges with the aim of enabling them to progress into self-employment. These badges are:

– Painting a room by sequence

– Colour Theory

– Entry to Self-Employment

The three bespoke City & Guilds badges are being piloted both in custody and in the community. Our event will showcase a carousel of activities that participants undertake whilst completing the courses, including a DIY challenge. We also want staff attending to work together to co-create a new digital badge for the future.

Alongside the activities we have guest speakers from City & Guilds and our other digital badge funding partner. We will talk to staff about how we are looking to change the future of training delivery, looking at sustainability and those with experience of the criminal justice system becoming more able and responsible for their journey towards employment.
