JOB SUMMARY
The primary role will involve working with at least one scaffolder on any site. At all times you will be working alongside another scaffolder and will be taking direction from that person in all aspects of what
they are being asked to do. At no point will they be asked to work unaccompanied.
In the initial stages there are large part of your work that will involve acting as a labourer for the scaffolder but as your site experience develops you will be allowed to be directly involved in erecting minor elements, but always under direct supervision.
JOB CONTENT
The scaffold Labourer will assist in the erection and dismantling of the following types of scaffold.
1) Traditional tube and fittings scaffold being used as edge protection around excavations and access routes.
2) Installation of short, fixed access stairs into excavation or on access routes.
3) Haki or Layher staircases that access down into basements or up on to temporary works decks.
4) Erection of access ladders in certain areas.
5) Installation of decking edge protection as temporary works progress.
6) Subsequent installation of edge protection (K Guard or Vertimax) onto concrete slabs
7) Edge protection on to precast stairs
Other more general duties will be
8) Assisting with loading and unloading materials when delivered
9) Counting of stock checks on site
10) Helping with weekly paperwork for inspections carried out on site
11) Listening/Watching of Flex accounts presentation as they become available.
12) Weekly meeting with the allocated mentor to review progress and get feedback.

Qualifications and Training
Essential: CSCS Card
No experience necessary, although a hardworking and reliable individual who has good communication.
