About the project
The development consists of two separate blocks situated around a new public square which will form the new Civic Heart of the Aylesbury Regeneration. The development will create 122 new homes above a community facility, which includes a public library and commercial space, Health Centre with an Early Years Facility.
Duties
As a Carpentry Trainee, you will learn to put the theory you have learnt into practise and be assessed regularly to convert your Diploma into an NVQ, ideally within 12 months.
Provide support and assistance to one or more skilled carpenters.
General work assisting the carpenter including site preparation and clearance and maintaining general site tidiness and assisting as directed by the carpenter.
Performing tasks as directed by the Line Manager to include assisting in building and installations, inspections, removal, replacement, repair, maintenance of wooden or part wooden items which form part of buildings (such as windows and stairs) both internal and external, and additional associated wooden items, such as furniture
As directed by the Line Manager to assist with storage, lifting, fetching supplies, unload and check deliveries and undertaking tasks to assisting carpenter generally.
